Box Score In a back-and-forth battle, the home WolfPack ended Friday's Parent's Night game on the losing side as the Olive-Harvey College Panthers mounted a successful second-half comeback on their way to the 81-80 win. The WolfPack held a 43 to 38 advantage at the break behind great shooting from the field (64%), including 60 percent from three-point range. The Panthers regrouped at the half and improved both their offensive and defensive outputs while winning the second half by six points (43-37) for the one point win. The Panther s also limited the 'Pack to 34.3 percent shooting from the field in the second half while forcing 17 total WolfPack turnovers.
Freshman guard
Dominic Fumbanks led the team with 23 points and hauled down a team-high 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the 2012-13 campaign. The Racine, WI native shot 9-14 from the field including 2-4 from three-point range. He also chipped in three free throws in four attempts while tying for the team lead with two steals in 26 minutes of action. Three other WolfPack joined Fumbanks in double figures in the point category including
Jason Miller (17),
Sheldon Cooks (13), and
Alex Wuensch (11). Wuensch recorded two assists and two steals, while
Ryan Plaice also added two assists in the heartbreaking loss.
The 0-6 WolfPack men's basketball team looks for their first win on Monday night against the Fox Valley Technical College Foxes. The road game in Appleton, WI starts at 7:30 PM.
