Madison College Volleyball Calms Stormers

The WolfPack volleyball team extended their match winning streak to three with a sweep of the Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers in Madison, WI on Tuesday night. Madison College used back-to-back 25-7 set wins before taking the final game 25-18 for the N4C conference match victory. Madison now has a set winning streak of nine games after completing their third consecutive sweep, with the last two coming in front of the faithful WolfPack fans.

Freshman Payton Klein led the offensive barrage with nine kills in 10 attempts for an outstanding .800 kill percentage. She also registered three of the WolfPack's 18 service aces. Terissa Bierd led the team in that category as she accumulated seven aces, while Morgan Ellickson added four. Alexis Semrow (15) and Melinda Statz (14) finished one and two on the team in assists. The duo recorded 29 of the team's 31 assists. Vanessa Clarson paced the team with eight digs, and Danielle Crawford picked up the team's lone solo block in the dominating win.

The #8 ranked WolfPack volleyball team (15-4, 7-2) remains on their homecourt for two straight matches, with the next match-up coming on Thursday, October 4. Madison College hosts the Fox Valley Technical College Foxes in tomorrow's meeting, with the non-conference match starting at 6:00 PM.
