Madison College Volleyball Wins Eighth Straight

The WolfPack volleyball team put together another great all-around match in picking up their eighth consecutive win by defeating the Clarke University JV Crusaders in four sets last week, 25-23, 21-25, 25-12, 26-24. Madison College won the first, third, and fourth sets in Thursday's road game in Dubuque, IA on their way to picking up their 20th win against four losses.

Three members of the WolfPack all recorded double-digit kills, led by Terissa Bierd's 13. Bierd also paced the team with three service aces, while finishing runner-up on the team with 16 digs. Payton Klein (12) and Morgan Ellickson (10) finished right behind Bierd in kills, and Ellickson added 13 digs for the defense. Klein also aided the defense by picking up four block assists, while Kayla Vorhees led the squad with five block assists and a solo block. Vanessa Clarson was the team leader in digs with 24, and Alexis Semrow recorded a team-leading 40 assists in aiding the offense.

Madison College is back at it this weekend as they travel to Whitewater, WI for the UW-Whitewater JV Invitational. The WolfPack's first game, against tournament host UW-Whitewater, begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday, while their final meeting against Illinois Valley Community College starts at 12:00 PM that same day.
