The WolfPack Men's Basketball team lost their fourth straight game, 70-67, but had a shot at the end of regulation to send it to overtime. Former Washburn H.S. standout,
Alex Cook played all 40 minutes and led all WolfPack players in scoring with 19 points while teammate,
Roger Davis, posted his second double-double of the season.
In the first half, Madison College held the largest lead of the game at 30-20 as they made 17 out of 18 free throws in the first half. The WolfPack maintained a nine point lead heading into halftime with
Alex Cook and
Tyler Kowalkowski pacing the WolfPack in double-figures. In the second half, the WolfPack struggled shooting going 0-for-7 from beyond the arc and 8-25 from the field. The Kougars capitlaized on turnovers and outscored the WolfPack in the paint. Two WolfPack players fould out (
Ryan Plaice &
Garrett Borgrud) which left the WolfPack with just five players to finish the game with under two minutes left. Despite all that, the WolfPack had a shot to tie the game but fell short, losing 70-67 to the visiting NJCAA Division II Kishwaukee College Kougars.
Alex Cook played all 40 minutes and led Madison College in scoring with 19 points including going 8-for-10 from the free throw line.
Tyler Kowalkowski had 14 points and eight rebounds while teammate
Garrett Borgrud had 11 points.
Roger Davis posted his second double-double of the season scoing 10 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. In the loss, the WolfPack shot an impressive 93% from the free throw line going 27-for-29.
The WolfPack Men play their first North Central Community College Conference (N4C) game this Wednesday again Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee at 8:00 PM.
