They scratched, clawed, and fought for a full forty minutes once again, but the Madison College men's basketball team could not come out with their second straight home win on Saturday. The WolfPack dropped another tight one, losing to Rock Valley 70-64.
Throughout the course of the game the 'Pack shot better from the floor (43.1% to 38.5%), and better from the free throw line (63.2% to 60.7%), but turned the ball over too many times (26). Their 26 turnovers led to 23 Golden Eagle points. The bright spots offensively were sophomores
Garrett Borgrud and
Tyler Kowalkowski. The pair combined to score 41 points, with Borgrud accounting for 25 and Kowalkowski 16. Madison College was tough on the boards as well, outrebounding their opponent 43-35, which would lead to 16 second effort points.
Madison College (3-14, 1-3) will take on College of DuPage Wednesday, January 25th at 7:00 PM. They'll return home on Saturday, January 28th to match up with Harper College at 3:00 PM.
