WolfPack Claim N4C Win at Home

The Madison College Men's Basketball team earned their first North Central Community College Conference win and home win by beating the visiting Wilbur Wright College Rams 68-60.  Santiago Silva led all scorers and Roger Davis posted his third career double-double.

After leading by as many as 12 points in the first half the WolfPack took a four point lead into halftime.  In the second half, the WolfPack were able to get to the free throw line and convert.  The team shot 87 percent as they were 20-for-23 from the line in the second session.  Madison College held the Rams off as they made a second half charge and held on to a 68-60 win.  The win stopped a six-game slide and gave the WolfPack their first N4C conference win of the season.

The WolfPack had four double-digit scores led by Santiago Silva's 16 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 from the line.  Teammates Rodger Davis and Garrett Borgrud each chipped in 15 points. Davis also pulled down 13 rebounds to record his third double-double of the season.  Second year forward, Tyler Kowalkowski, added 13 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes of action.

Madison College is now 1-2 in conference play and 3-13 overall.  The WolfPack face Rock Valley College on Saturday at 3:00 PM at H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium on the Madison College Truax Campus.
