Madison Men Ground the Golden Eagles

The Madison College men's basketball team got back to .500, evening their record at 11-11 with a 80-65 thumping of the visiting Rock Valley Golden Eagles.  The team committed just 10 turnovers and dished out 18 assists as they outscored the visiting Golden Eagles in both halves.

The WolfPack shot well throughout going 30-for-61 for the game for 49% including almost 41% from beyond the arc.  Madison College committed just 10 turnovers and forced the Golden Eagles in 14 turnovers leading to 18 points.  The WolfPack led by as many as 26 points in the second half and eight players reached the scoring column.

Corey Yahnke led the WolfPack with 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.  Garrett Borgrud added 14 points and Tyler Kowalkowski pitched in with 12 points.

The WolfPack are now 5-4 in North Central Community Conference (N4C) play and face Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL on Tuesday, February 8th.
