Sauk Valley Too Strong for WolfPack Men

Despite three players scoring in double digits Tuesday night, the Madison College men's basketball team dropped to 0-4 on the season, with a 69-53 loss to Sauk Valley Community College.

The WolfPack played a competitive first half, trailing by just six at the break 33-27. In the opening twenty minutes the team hit 11-of-27 shots (40.7%), while the Skyhawks made 14-of-33 from the field (42.4%).

Things took a turn for the worse in the second half. Madison College went ice cold from the field, hitting just 8-of-40 (20%). At one point the WolfPack would find themselves down 50-30, and a 20 point hole would prove to be too tough to climb out of.

Darius Norris led the WolfPack offense, scoring a game-high 18 points off the bench and grabbing ten rebounds. Tyler Kowalkowski would add 13 points, and Garrett Borgrud chipped in ten.

Madison College (0-4) will return home to H. Douglas Redsten gymnasium on Tuesday, November 22nd for a matchup with Highland Community College. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM.
