The Madison College volleyball team couldn't get past UW-Whitewater's size and athleticism, as the WolfPack dropped the match in three sets over the junior varsity squad from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The NCAA Division III Warhawks from Whitewater defeated the WolfPack in the first game 25-13 before holding on for 25-19 and 25-21 wins in the second and third sets to secure the match victory.
Sophomore
Hannah Schwartzer led the team's offense with 11 kills, and also paced the WolfPack with 13 digs. Sophomore Kristen Halma chipped in 17 of the 'Pack's 22 assists. Halma also added four kills and a block assist. Displaying the abilities of the sophomore class,
Kate Jonas led the team with a solo block, a block assist, a recorded two kills in the loss.
The loss drops the volleyball team's record to 18-8 overall, and 5-3 at home. The WolfPack have almost a week off before travelling to River Grove, IL to face the Triton College Trojans. The N4C conference matchup begins at 6:00 PM and starts a stretch of four straight conference matches for the WolfPack.
