The Madison College Men's Basketball team left no doubt in today's thumping of the visiting Wibur Wright College Rams. The WolfPack jumped out to a 24 point halftime lead and cruised to 90-55 win.
Out of the gate, the WolfPack played well, shooting over 51% from the field in the first half including almost 47% from beyond the arc. Madison College committed just 11 turnovers and had 26 points off 14 Ram turnovers. The WolfPack used their bench to outscore the visiting Rams 32-10.
Second year center
Corey Yahnke went 13-for-16 from the chartiy stripe to lead all scorers with 23 points. Meanwhile, teammate,
Aaron Jones, pitched in with 21 points on 5-for-9 shooting from three point land. Derek Nillissen and Garret Borgrud each had double-figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Borgrud also had three of the WolfPack's six blocked shots.
The WolfPack improved to 6-8 and 1-1 in North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play. The next game for Madison College is on Tuesday in Rockford, IL against Rock Valley College.
