The Madison College men's basketball team weathered the Stormers second half run to claim a big North Central Community College Conference (N4C) win, 84-68. The hot shooting WolfPack shot over 53% from the field and 50% from three to push their record back to .500.
Madison College jumped out to a 45-35 halftime advantage on 8-15 shooting from beyond the arc and 13 first half assists. The WolfPack continued to find good shots in the second half shooting over 57% from the field. Madison College also continued to distribute the ball well in the second half and outrebounded the visiting Stormers 43-29. The WolfPack received 29 bench points to just 10 points for Milwaukee. The victory pushed the WolfPack's conference mark to 4-3.
Aaron Jones led the team in scoring for the thrid consecutive game, scoring 20 points and dishing out six assists.
Corey Yahnke had 14 points on 6-for-9 shooting while fellow center,
Garrett Borgrud, recorded his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Former Stoughton athlete,
Tyler Kowalkowski was 4-for-6 from three in the first half to finish with 12 points.
The men's team has a quick turnaround as they face Triton College in another N4C battle on their home floor at 7:30 PM this Thursday.
