Madison College Men Back at .500

The Madison College Men's Basketball team evened their overall record at 9-9 with a 94-78 home victory over the visiting Western Technical College Cavaliers.  Two WolfPack players scored over 20 points including Aaron Jones with 29 and Derrick Nillissen with 20.

The WolfPack jumped out to a 49-38 halftime advantage shooting 50% from the field in the first half.  In the second half, the hot shooting continued including 5-for-10 from beyond the arc.  The WolfPack finished 13-for-28 from three and outscored the visiting Cavaliers 36-16 in the paint to seal a 94-78 win. 

Aaron Jones led the way for the WolfPack with 29 points on 9-for-18 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds.  Fellow second year guard, Derrick Nillissen was 6-for-11 from three and hit two free throws for 20 points.  Corey Yahnke added 16 points and nine rebounds.  In fact, all eight WolfPack players scored at least four points.

The win pulls the WolfPack to .500 before facing a tough College of DuPage team in Glen Ellyn, IL on Saturday.
