Ali Waller led the WolfPack with 11 digs against the Wolves.
After back-to-back losses to nationally ranked opponents, the Madison College women's volleyball team got back on track with a win over Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Ill. on Sept. 16. The two-mtach losing streak was the longest of the season for the WolfPack coming into their match against the Wolves.
The WolfPack took all three sets, winning 25-18, 25-23, 25-12. The offense was led by first-year player
Ashley Biesterveld and her 13 kills.
Leah Monti also contributed with 15 assists.
Defensively, the WolfPack were anchored by
April Testman,
Monti and
Ali Waller. In addition to serving as the team's setter,
Monti recorded three blocks, as did
Testman. The WolfPack leader in digs was
Waller, with 11.
The victory over the Wolves improved the WolfPack's North Central Community College Conference (N4C) record to 4-1. The win also gave the WolfPack some momentum as they prepare for the Kankakee Tournament on Sept. 17 and 18 against some high-quality Division II and III opponents.
