The short-handed Madison College men defeated Western Technical College in front of the home crowd in Madison 81-45. They swept the season series against the Cavaliers, winning both games handily. With the win the WolfPack improved to 15-9 on the season.
The WolfPack offense started the game cold as they only were able to score five points in the first five minutes of the game. That changed quickly as they built a 16-point lead by halftime and never looked back.
Bobby Komorowski (Germantown, WI, Germantown ) led all scorers with 24 points behind a 9-for-17 shooting performance. He was hot from beyond the arc hitting 6-of-11 attempts. The WolfPack also thrived off of a career-day from point-guard Antowan Epps (Oconto, WI, Oconto ). He scored 18 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed four rebounds.
With Jared Barthels (Eau Claire, WI, Immanuel Lutheran ) sitting out for a second-straight game, the WolfPack were limited to an eight-man rotation, but they showed no signs of tiring out early in the victory. The defensive charge was led by Drew Mandli (Egan, MN, Eagan ). He recorded five steals to go along with nine rebounds and five points.
The WolfPack play three of their four final regular season games at home. They are 5-1 in their last six games. Next up for the WolfPack is Rock Valley College on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The Golden Eagles tipped the Madison College in Rockford, IL the first time around 72-70 in overtime.
