Hired in the summer of 2005, Toby Parker put together an impressive 21-8 campaign in his inagural season as the MATC women's volleyball head coach. The 2005 team finished second in the WTCC and third in the WJCAA, as they went on to finish third at the NJCAA Region XIII tournament. Beside the impressive finish in the region tournament, the 2005 squad strung together ten straight match wins from September 10th to September 26th.Â
Parker came to MATC with a wealth of coaching experience at both the high school and USAV Junior Olympic Volleyball level. Over the course of his sixteen-year volleyball career, he has compiled a cumulative record of 481-257 (.652) coaching high school, club and college teams. His athletes and teams have achieved success at conference, state and national levels.
During his high school coaching career, Parker produced thirty-four High School all-conference players, six conference Players-of-the-Year and sent over thirty of his former players on to compete at the collegiate level. He has also seen three of his former players become college All-Americans and had the privilege of coaching a former Olympian. Parker founded the Midwest Juniors Volleyball Club in 1998, which is currently one of the largest Junior Olympic volleyball programs in Wisconsin.
Coach Parker is a former indoor AA club player and a professional outdoor player, competing on both the Eastern Volleyball Association tour as well as the Midwest Volleyball Professionals tour. Parker was born and raised in Madison, WI. He currently lives in Verona, WI with his wife, Holly, their daughter, Grace and triplets that arrived on September 29th, Emma, Chloe and Cody. In addition to coaching at MATC, Parker owns his own business, The Sports Management Group.
