Toby Parker

Hired in the spring of 2005, in only two seasons at the helm, Toby Parker has amassed an impressive 54-14 overall record. In his second season as head women’s volleyball coach his team finished with an overal record of 33-6, winning the WTCC conference and WJCAA state titles for the first time in ten years. His team recorded twenty consecutive match victories and finished one game short of earning a berth in the NJCAA DIII National Tournament. The #3 nationally ranked NJCAA Division III MATC Women’s Volleyball team also produced the first two NJCAA All-Americans in program history (Kristin Brochtrup and Kara Hilmanoski).

Parker came to MATC with a wealth of coaching experience at both the high school and USAV Junior Olympic Volleyball level. Over the course of his sixteen-year volleyball career, he has compiled a cumulative record of 481-257 (.652) coaching high school, club and college teams.  His athletes and teams have achieved success at conference, state and national levels.

During his high school coaching career, Parker produced thirty-four High School all-conference players, six conference Players-of-the-Year and sent over thirty of his former players on to compete at the collegiate level. He has also seen three of his former players become college All-Americans and had the privilege of coaching a former Olympian. Parker founded the Midwest Juniors Volleyball Club in 1998, which is currently one of the largest Junior Olympic volleyball programs in Wisconsin.

Coach Parker is a former indoor AA club player and a professional outdoor player, competing on both the Eastern Volleyball Association tour as well as the Midwest Volleyball Professionals tour.  Parker was born and raised in Madison, WI.  He currently lives in Verona, WI with his wife, Holly, their daughter, Grace and triplets that arrived on September 29, 2006, Emma, Chloe and Cody.  In addition to coaching at MATC, Parker owns his own business, The Sports Management Group.
