Taylor Genthe is entering her first season as an assistant coach for the Madison College women's volleyball team.
Genthe joins the staff of first year head coach Ashley Davis after starring on the court for the WolfPack. An All-North Central Community College Conference first team selection and member of the All-Region IV Tournament Team, Genthe started 55 of 58 matches in her Madison College career, switching from outside hitter as a freshman to setter/utility as a sophomore en route to earning the 2016 Big Dog Award. Her versatility can be seen in the program's record book, where Genthe's name appears among the best in school history for kills, blocks, aces, and assists. Genthe's career numbers include a 57-10 record, 326 kills (.234), 789 assists, 302 digs, 102 blocks, and 74 aces. Madison College won conference and regional titles, and appeared in the NJCAA Division III National Tournament during Genthe's freshman season of 2015.
Genthe's coaching resume includes a pair of roles at the club level with former Madison College head coach Toby Parker and Wisconsin Performance. She served as an assistant for the club's U18 team in 2016 before taking over the U14 team as head coach in 2017.
A native of Spring Green, Wisconsin, Genthe played high school volleyball, as well as basketball and softball, at River Valley HS. The 11-time letter winner was a three-time all-conference selection in volleyball and softball in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference.
Genthe remains enrolled in Madison College's Nursing program and currently resides in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. Away from volleyball she enjoys hiking, reading, and watching movies.
