Lindsey Swansby is entering her first season as an assistant coach for the Madison College women's volleyball team after being hired in July 2018.
Swansby comes to the WolfPack with three years of coaching experience, most recently coaching middle school volleyball. She also spent one season on the sidelines for Wisconsin Select club teams.
As a collegiate volleyball player at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, Swansby enjoyed a stellar career from 2010-2013, earning all-conference accolades every year she was there, including first team honors each of her final three seasons. Swansby, a 5'10" setter, left the Eagles program as the all-time leader in assists with 4,573, second in service aces with 152, seventh in digs with 1,292, and second in total matches played at 137. In the process, she also became the all-time assist leader in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. In 2010, Swansby was named to the NACC All-Freshman team and a NACC Scholar-Athlete. She graduated from Edgewood College in 2014 with a degree in Elementary Education.
Swansby hails from Berlin, Wisconsin, where she was a three-sport (volleyball, basketball, softball) athlete, earning nine varsity letters and all-conference honors in each sport.
Swansby currently lives in Madison and is in her fourth year as an elementary school teacher. In her spare time, Swansby enjoys spending time in the outdoors, running, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
