Denise Stenklyft is in her 2nd year as Grotsky’s assistant women’s volleyball coach. This is her third season as assistant volleyball coach at Madison Area Technical College. Stenklyft is also the head coach for the MATC women’s basketball program.
Coach Stenklyft, is one of the most decorated woman athletes in MATC history. After high school, at Cambridge High School, where she was an all-conference player in basketball and volleyball for three seasons she attended MATC. In 1996, Stenklyft (Brattlie) became the first basketball player (men’s or women’s) in MATC history to earn NJCAA All-American honors.
Stenklyft was born on April 29, 1976 in Cambridge, WI. She currently lives in Cambridge with her husband, Ben. In addition to her assistant coaching responsibilities, Stenklyft works as Fitness Center Assistant and Adult Volleyball League Coordinator for the MATC Fitness Center.
