Assistant Coach Dave Wangerin joins coach Boland in his first year coaching at MATC. A graduate of Rice Lake High School, the 24 year old Wangerin is a Chemical Engineering major at UW-Madison. Rice Lake did not have a boy's varsity volleyball team, so Wangerin drove over a half hour away to play recreation volleyball with an older crowd beginning at the age of 16.
Wangerin moved to Madison in 1995 and joined volleyball leagues in Madison and Janesville progressing in his game to the Men's Power A class. Wangerin hopes to get a position on the UW-Madison's Club A Team this season.
