Courtney Gorum is entering her first year as assistant coach for the Madison College women's volleyball program after being hired in July 2022.
Gorum comes to Madison College with two years of coaching experience, helping out with the Madtown Junior Volleyball Club and Tidewater Volleyball Association programs. Gorum is also known in the Madison area as a former middle blocker for the Wisconsin Badgers from 2019 to 2020. An injury forced Gorum to redshirt freshman season, where she was a teammate of current WolfPack head coach Mallory Dixon. She did not see the floor during the Badgers altered season of 2020-21. Gorum graduated in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Prior to arriving at UW, Gorum was a 2018 AVCA Under Armour First Team All-America selection, a Virginia Class 6 All-State honoree, a two-time all-conference player, and three-time letter winner in high school in Chesapeake, Virginia. She was ranked No. 50 in the nation on the PrepVolleyball Senior Aces and played club volleyball for Coastal Virginia Volleyball Club.
Gorum currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin, and is the manager of Domino's. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and gardening.
