Ashley Davis will be entering her first season as head women's volleyball coach. Davis served as an assistant coach with the Madison College women’s volleyball team for five seasons prior to being named head coach.
Davis was recently honored with the 2015 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Minority Coaches Award at the AVCA Convention in Omaha, Nebraska. The award is given annually by the Minority Coaches Committee in an effort to continue AVCA's vision for creating opportunities and advancing the sport's coaching profession.
Davis currently coaches club volleyball for Wisconsin Performance and has been with the club since 2013. Prior to arriving at Madison College, Davis coached with two club volleyball teams - Oregon Acers (2009-2012) and Appleton Excel VBC (2004-2007).
As a player, Davis was a three-year volleyball letter winner while attending Columbus East (IN) High School. She was named Academic All-State Honorable Mention as a senior. Davis then moved on to play collegiate volleyball at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI (2003-2006). As middle and right side hitter, she finished her career ninth on the school’s all-time hitting percentage list (.196 average), and fifth all-time in blocks (232). Ashley graduated from Lawrence in 2007 with a degree in Mathematics.
Ashley has been a Managed Care Policy Analyst for the Department of Health Services for eight years and she currently resides in Sun Prairie.
