Sydney Maksymo is entering her first season as an assistant women's soccer coach at Madison College, where she played for the WolfPack from 2021 to 2022.
Maksymo was a first team all-conference selection in the North Central Community College Conference and a first team all-region pick in NJCAA Region 4 as a freshman at Madison College. She started 13 of 14 matches appeared in, led the team with 1,083 minutes, and registered one assist. Maksymo was named the 2021 NJCAA Region 4 Tournament Most Valuable Player after guiding the WolfPack to a 3-0 shutout of Harper College in the Region 4 Championship. The WolfPack finished the season 9-5-1 with N4C and Region 4 banners before losing in the NJCAA Great Lakes District Tournament Championship.
Maksymo's second season was cut short with a season-ending knee injury in the first match of the season at Rochester CTC.
Maksymo, who attended UW-Eau Claire for two years prior to transferring to Madison College, was a six-time letter winner in two sports at Madison La Follette High School. A four-time letter winner in soccer, she was a second team all-conference selection in the Big Eight Conference as a senior, served as team captain for two years, and was voted Team MVP as a junior after grabbing Most Improved Player the year before. She also earned two letters in swimming & diving.
In 2022, Maksymo earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing.She currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin.
