Sam Julian was hired in 2014 for the inaugural season of Madison College women’s soccer, and after two years as an assistant, he will move to volunteer assistant in 2016 to help new head coach Matt Schwartz.
A 2003 graduate of Madison East High School, Julian brings years of soccer coaching experience to the WolfPack. He has served as an assistant with the Madison East Soccer Club, Madison East High School, and most recently, with Monona Grove High School. Sam is a seasoned camp and private instructor, youth official, has worked with MSCR, the City of Monona youth soccer programs, and the Capitol East Soccer Club. A Madison native, he credits the east side community with giving him his start in coaching.
Sam's playing career spanned from 1999-2002, competing as an outside back and holding midfielder for the Purgolders.
Outside of coaching, the 28-year-old is an Assistant Reference Archivist, a position he's held for the past seven years following his graduation for the
