Alex Alvarado

Alexander Alvarado is entering his third season as an assistant men's soccer coach at Madison College since being hired in June 2023. He was promoted to associate head men's soccer coach prior to the 2024 season. In 2024, he also joined the women's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach.

Alvarado has spent the past year coaching U16-U19 teams as an assistant with the Madison 56ers. He helped teams win two Wisconsin State Cups and qualify for two Midwest Regionals and USYS National Championships.

Alvarado played prep soccer at Madison West High School and helped the Regents to the WIAA Division 1 State Boys Soccer Tournament in 2017 and 2015. He was a four-time all-conference selection in the Big Eight Conference and a four-time all-area pick by the Wisconsin State Journal. Alvarado played club soccer for the Madison 56ers and was a two-time Wisconsin State Cup champion and ODP Regional Camp invitee. 

Alvarado has continued his academic career at Columbia College in Chicago and at Madison College with a focus on Business and Music Business. 

The native of Mexico currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin.
