Erika Davenport is entering her first season as assistant women's basketball coach at Madison College.
Davenport joins the WolfPack following a stellar playing career at NCAA Division I Marquette University, where she was a three-time All-BIG EASTÂ Second Team selection. The 5'11" forward scored more than 1,400 points and recorded over 1,000 rebounds en route to finishing her career with averages of 12.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 steals over 122 career games. Davenport was a BIG EAST All-Academic honoree as a sophomore, twice named to the Cheryl Miller Preseason Award Watch List, a Preseason All-BIG EAST pick as a junior, and chosen BIG EAST Player of the Week on December 23 of her junior campaign. She left MU as the all-time leader in field goal percentage at 56.9%, fourth in total rebounds, and 14th in career points. The Golden Eagles were 90-42 with Davenport on the team, which included a BIG EAST Tournament Championship and three trips to the NCAA Tournament.
Following her playing days at Marquette, Davenport has spent the past three years coaching at Milwaukee Madison High School.
Davenport was a standout prep athlete at Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Michigan, where she averaged 25 points and ten rebounds a game. She was named the AP Class A Player of the Year and MLive Detroit Player of the Year following her junior season, and was a Top-5 finalist for Michigan's Miss Basketball as a senior. Davenport was ranked as the No. 131 prospect in the nation.
Davenport received a bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications in 2019. She has spent the past year working as a personal trainer.
