Matt Schwartz

Matt Schwartz is entering his second year as the assistant soccer coach for the Madison College WolfPack under Head Coach Cory Sims. A Madison, WI native, Schwartz attended Monona Grove High School and graduated in 2005.

After graduation, Schwartz turned his attention to coaching and has been active in the soccer community since 2008. For the past two years, he was the head coach for the JV boys and an assistant varsity coach for his alma mater, Monona Grove.  Schwartz has also coached the Monona Grove High School varsity girls as a goalkeeper coach, the Madison FC U12 Boys as the head coach, and the Madison FC U18 Girls as an assistant coach.

Schwartz graduated from UW-Whitewater with a degree in history in 2012, and believes in stressing “teamwork and the ability to overcome adversity on and off the field.” He also notes that “discipline and simplicity are key to a successful program.”

Like coach Sims, Schwartz is a personal trainer and owns his own business. He currently lives in Monona.
