Jeff Richardson, who started the MATC soccer program in 1998 and coached from 1998-2000, assumes head coaching duties after being away from the program for the past two seasons. Coach Richardson was 41-15-2 in his first three seasons, winning conference and state titles in each consecutive season. In his first three seasons he also claimed two NJCAA Region XIII and three WJCAA Coach-of-the-Year awards for his team accomplishments.
In addition to coaching MATC, Richardson has coached various teams at several levels for the past 23 years including Verona High School, Middleton Soccer Club, Waunakee Soccer Club, Madison 56ers Soccer Club, and Wisconsin Olympic Development team.
Richardson was born and grew up in Madison. He currently lives in Fitchburg. In addition to his coaching duties at MATC, Richardson is a Job Developer for Adults with Disabilities.Â
