Jeff Richardson started the MATC soccer program in 1998 and coached from 1998-2000. Richardson assumed head coaching duties again in 2003 after being away from the program for two seasons and will be entering his eighth season as the WolfPack's head soccer coach. He was 41-10-1 in his first three seasons, winning conference and state titles in each consecutive season. In his first three seasons he also claimed two NJCAA Region XIII and three WJCAA Coach-of-the-Year awards for his team accomplishments.
During the 2006 season, his seventh season, coach Richardson led the WolfPack to a 12-4-3 record capuring conference, state and region titles while bringing the WolfPack within one game of the national tournament for the third time in four years. He earned both NJCAA Region Coach-of-the-Year and WJCAA Coach-of-the-Year honors for the fifth time. The team also finished the season ranked fifteenth in the final NJCAA Divison III soccer poll.
Richardson has coached various teams at several levels for the past twenty-three years including Verona High School, Madison East High School, Middleton Soccer Club, Waunakee Soccer Club, Madison 56ers Soccer Club, and Wisconsin Olympic Development team.
Richardson was born and raised in Fitchburg, WI and he currently resides there. In addition to his coaching duties at MATC, Richardson is a Job Developer for Adults with Disabilities.
