Ian Marquardt

Ian Marquardt is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the Madison College men's soccer program after being hired in July 2023. Marquardt returns to the WolfPack for whom he played in 2019 and 2022.

Marquardt played center defense for teams that went a combined 19-12-2, with the 2022 squad claiming a North Central Community College Conference title and finishing runner-up in the Region 4 Tournament to qualify for the NJCAA Midwest District Tournament. He played in 17 total matches for Madison College and finished with one assist and one shot on goal.

Between his stints with Madison College, Marquardt competed for Isthmus City FC.

Marquardt played his high school soccer at Sun Prairie High School, helping the Cardinals qualify for the 2018 WIAA Division 1 State Tournament. He tallied three goals and five assists while earning one letter over his four years of participation.

He continues working towards a Psychology degree and also works as a writing tutor at Madison College. Marquardt currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin, and in his free time enjoys watching sports, and anything outdoors, like hiking and playing pickup games.
