Augustin Martinez is in his first season as the Madison Area Technical College assistant soccer coach. Martinez has coached soccer since 1985 for various programs such as Oregon H.S., Yahara Soccer Club, Soccer World of Wisconsin, Inc., and Princeton Club.
Coach Martinez grew up in Monterrey, Mexico where he played high school soccer. In 1976, he was drafted by a professional soccer team in Monterrey, Mexico and played with the team for three years. Since then he has played for various Madison teams such as the Internationals, Madison United, Madison 56ers Majors, and an over 30 adult league.
Martinez was born on May 27, 1960 in Monterrey, Mexico. Martinez currently lives and works as a Supervisor and Director of Coaching at the Princeton Club in Madison.
