Tamaris (ta-MAR-is) Relerford is entering his first season with the Madison College men's basketball team after being hired in September 2016.
Relerford brings two years of coaching experience to the WolfPack. During the 2006-2007 season, Relerford spent time as an assistant coach at Beloit Memorial High School. The following season, he served as a graduate assistant for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) champion, UW-Whitewater Warhawks.
Winning college basketball games is something Relerford is very familiar with after helping UW-Stevens Point to back-to-back national championships in 2004 and 2005. During his time with the Pointers, Relerford won 118 of 131 games and one WIAC title while being named as a team captain.
Born in Beloit and a 2000 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, Relerford played four years of varsity basketball, picking up numerous individual accolades. As a senior, he earned Big 8 Player of the Year and Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) 3rd Team All-State honors, as well as his third straight first team Big 8 All-Conference selection after averaging 16 points and six assists. Relerford also lettered two times in football, earning Big 8 All-Conference honors in 1998 and 1999, receiving Defensive Back of the Year in the conference as a senior, as well
Relerford graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2006 with a degree in Interpersonal/Organizational Communication and has spent the past year as a staffing coordinator with ABR-Employment Services.
Relerford currently resides in Madison with his wife, Anna, and their two sons, Llewyn and Lleyton. Away from basketball, he enjoys working out, traveling, playing basketball and softball, spending time with family, and living life to the fullest.
