Scott Wilke is in his seventh season as Madison Area Technical College assistant baseball coach. Wilke was an MATC assistant coach last season and also from 1994-1998.  He was a part of the coaching staff during MATC’s three consecutive NJCAA Division III National Championships in 1995, 1996, and 1997.

Wilke has been coaching baseball for twenty years at various levels and is an active member of the Wisconsin baseball community.  He was head baseball coach for DeForest High School for 15 years and a coach for both a high school all-star game (1986) and for a Legion all-star game (1994) during that time.  Wilke also led his DeForest Legion team to a state title in 1992.

Wilke was a three-sport all-conference athlete at Waterloo High School.  After high school, he attended UW-La Crosse where he was a three-year starting outfielder, earning all-conference and all-district honors during his final two seasons.  In 1979, he received a B.S. degree in health and physical education from UW-La Crosse.

Wilke currently lives with his wife, Sandy, in DeForest, WI. He has five daughters:  Whitney, Natalie, Jessica, Amy, and Mary Kate.  In addition to coaching, he is also a physical education and health teacher at DeForest High School.
