Parker Schrage is in his second stint and sixth season as an assistant coach for the Madison College baseball team after returning to the program prior to the 2015 season. Previously, he played for the WolfPack in 2010 and 2011, helping the team to a third place national finish his sophomore season.
As a freshman, Schrage went 3-0 with one save in 14 appearances and posted a 6.59 ERA. In 28-plus innings her struck out 18 batters and held opposing hitters to a .282 average. His sophomore season produced a 7-2 record with five complete games over the course of 14 appearances. Schrage registered a 3.28 ERA, struck out 41 batters, and allowed a .238 opponent batting average over his 68.2 innings. He left Madison College tied for 18th in career wins with ten and 19th in total innings pitched (97.1).
Schrage also pitched for the University of Dayton for two seasons, after he left Madison College, helping the Flyers to their first-ever regional appearance in 2012. In 2013, the Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin, native was a student assistant coach for Dayton.
In his high school playing days, Schrage was a four-sport star, participating in baseball, basketball, football, and track & field. He was named an all-state pitcher in 2009.
Schrage currently lives in Monona, WI, and works as a researcher at Covance.
