Leo Kalinowski

Leo Kalinowski begins his 13th season with the Madison Area Technical College Baseball Program, his first as associate head coach. Kalinowksi was the head coach for the WolfPack for twelve years compiling an amazing record of 414-169-3. His teams were consistently one of the top-ranked teams in the nation, highlighted by back-to-back-to-back NJCAA National Baseball Championships in 1995, 1996 and 1997.  In addition, the 1994 team finished third in the nation and the 1999 team finished fourth.  His 2001 team finished the regular season as the #1 ranked Division II team in the nation.

Coach Kalinowski’s resume demonstrates his strong baseball background both as a coach and a player. From 1977-1979, Kalinowski was a Division I starter for the University of Massachusetts, leading them to a NCAA Tournament berth in 1978-1979. Following graduation, Kalinowski continued his baseball career playing in a semi-pro league in New Brunswick, Canada. In 1980, he traveled to Amsterdam, Holland to play for three years. While in Holland he helped organize a youth baseball league.

Kalinowski was born on May 29, 1957 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. In 1997, he received his degree in sports management from the University of Massachusetts. In addition to coaching, Kalinowski is the Vice-President of McKeogh Land Company. Kalinowski lives in Stoughton with his wife, Sara, and his children Kennedy, Connor, and Joshua.
