Darin Everson is in his first season as Madison Area Technical College assistant baseball coach. Everson, a seven year baseball professional at catcher and first base, served as assistant coach for the Wisconsin Woodchucks last summer. He has also been a varsity baseball assistant at Oregon High School for the last three years.
Everson was a four sport athlete for Ada High School in Ada, MN. He received numerous all-conference, all-state, and all-region awards in baseball, football, and basketball. After high school, Everson attended Butte College, Valley City State, and Mayville State University in Mayville, ND. While at Mayville, he received All-American honors in his final two seasons. In 1995, Everson received a B.S. degree from Mayville State University in Education/Physical Education. After college, Everson spent seven years playing professional baseball in various organizations including the Montreal Expos, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Boston Red Sox.
Everson was born on April 22, 1971 in Ada, MN. Everson currently lives with his wife, Teri, in Oregon, WI. He has been a teacher at Oregon High School for five years.
