Darin Everson is in his third season as Madison Area Technical College assistant baseball coach. Everson, a seven-year baseball professional at catcher and first base, served as assistant coach for the Wisconsin Woodchucks the last two summers and also coached in the Alaskan Collegiate League this past summer. He was recently named Head Coach/Manager for the Wisconsin Woodchucks of the Northwoods League. Everson is also head coach for Oregon High School and is entering his third year as associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles.
Everson was a four-sport athlete for Ada High School in Ada, MN. After high school, Everson attended Butte College, Valley City State, and Mayville State University. At Mayville State, he received All-American baseball honors in his final two seasons.
In 1995, Everson received a B.S. degree from Mayville State University in Education/Physical Education. He then spent seven years playing professional baseball in various organizations including the Montreal Expos, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Boston Red Sox.
Everson grew up in Ada, MN but currently lives with his wife, Teri, and young son, Jared, in Oregon, WI. He is in his sixth year as a Physical Education teacher at Oregon High School.
