Darin Everson is in his fourth season as Madison Area Technical College assistant baseball coach. Everson has an extensive background in coaching as he is the Field Manager for the Wisconsin Woodchucks of the Northwoods League, has coached in the Alaskan Collegiate League and is also a head baseball coach for Oregon High School. In addition to coaching, he is entering his fourth year as associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles.
Everson was a four-sport athlete for Ada High School in Ada, MN. After high school, Everson attended Butte College, Valley City State, and Mayville State University. At Mayville State, he received All-American baseball honors in his final two seasons. In 1995, Everson received a B.S. degree from Mayville State University in Education/Physical Education.
After college, he had a seven-year professional baseball stint with the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Montreal Expos organizations as a catcher and first baseman. Everson grew up in Ada, MN but currently lives with his wife, Teri, and young son, Jared, in Oregon, WI. He is currently a Physical Education teacher at Oregon High School.
