MADISON, WISC. - After making a statement across the leagues in week one, the WolfPack struggled to continue that success this past week.
Rocket League
Coming off some close wins last week, the Rocket League team was unable to find their groove against George Fox University, dropping all three games.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate struggled again this week. On Tuesday, Quade Wolter went winless through three matchups. Hoping to find redemption and start the night off strong, Quade dropped his first matchup against Hutchinson Community College (Roberto) 3-0, followed by a 3-0 loss against Iowa Central Community College and a 3-1 setback to Western Iowa Tech Community College. Izon Thoronka (C0zy) faced Spring Arbor University (Inferno) and tooke the series all the way to game five, but, unfortunately, could not secure the win for the WolfPack in a 3-2 decision. On Wednesday, things started off strong for Arshenyo Chen (Noodlecup) with his victory over Umpqua Community College (Gabe) 3-1. Thoronka continued his regular season matches against North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (Pozy) and Spring Arbor University (CranberryLucas). While both matches went back-and-forth, Thoronka did not come out on top, dropping each by a 3-1 final. Adam Kaukl (Asinine Child) closed out the night for the WolfPack with one match against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Blue and just couldn't find the momentum to secure a win in a 3-0 loss. The WolfPack SSBU team looks to continue to build and come back next week.
Overwatch 2
After coming off an upset win last week and making a statement in the ECAC, the Overwatch team was only able to take a single map off a strong University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg team. The WolfPack looks to regroup and refocus to come back next week.
