Joe Hanson will serve as the first head coach of the Madison College Esports program leading the newest WolfPack sport in its debut season.

Joe Hanson involved as our Esports Head Coach in our inaugural season at Madison College. As an employee at the college, Joe knows the importance we place on our Madison College student experiences," commented Associate Athletic Director,
Jason Verhelst. "I know that both Joe and
Bill Kegler will do a great job building the foundation of our Esports program for the future."
Hanson has spent 11 years as an enterprise systems engineer in the Madison College Information Technology (IT) Department. Hanson will usher the Esports team through the competitive, technological, and logistical challenges of the gaming world.
Madison College Esports is scheduled to begin competing the week of September 21. This fall the WolfPack will offer competitive events in Super Smash Brothers, Rocket League, Madden NFL 21, and Overwatch. Find out more information on the new program by viewing our
