MADISON, WISC. - For the second time this season, the Madison College men's basketball team has a three-game win streak after defeating visiting NJCAA Division II Kishwaukee College by an 80-72 final on Saturday at H. The WolfPack raced out to a 17-3 lead before holding off the Kougars in the second half as all 13 players that saw game action were able to score, which included another double-double performance by freshman Jason Williams. Kishwaukee College still owns a 16-7 led in the all-time series, while the 'Pack now claims a five-game win streak over the Kougars.

Madison College jumped out a quick 11-0 lead and held Kishwaukee College (3-6) scoreless for the game's first four minutes and forty seconds. Even after a Kougars three-pointer, the impressive start continued with six more points as the WolfPack starting the game making six of their first eight shots. Leading by a dozen to start the second half, the WolfPack's advantage was cut down to five over the first seven minutes of the half. Six consecutive points after the midway point of the half pushed the lead to 13, and later a Williams' triple made it 67-53 with five minutes remaining. The Kougars cut the differential to seven in the final minutes, but a Max Keyeski jumper and a Datril Thompson free throw sealed the win.

Williams, a 6'5" power forward, recorded his fourth double-double of the season and his second in the last three games as he notched a team-high 14 points and secured a career-best 12 rebounds. The Evansville, Indiana, native made 6 of 10 shots with one 3-pointer and went 1 for 2 at the free throw line to secure his ninth double-digit scoring effort in 12 games played. He also had a steal and four assists.
