MADISON, WISC. - The Madison College women's volleyball team continued its dominance over in-state rival Milwaukee Area Technical College with a 3-0 sweep on Pink Night at
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium on Tuesday. Behind set wins of 25-23, 25-10, and 25-16, the WolfPack used the North Central Community College Conference win to improve their win streak over the Stormers to 35 straight, while also pushing their consecutive sets won streak against MATC-Milwaukee to 66. The 'Pack owns an 89-29-3 lead in the all-time series. Tuesday's match was also Pink Night with Madison College honoring those affected by breast cancer and raising money for
Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Madison College trailed 18-13 in the opening set, but were able to re-group and win 12 of the last 17 points, including the final three, to put away Milwaukee Area Technical College (9-11, 2-7). The push carried the WolfPack to a resounding win in set two, before the 'Pack used a nine-point run to turn a 15-12 deficit into a 21-15 lead. They closed out the win by taking 13 of 14 points.
The WolfPack had just one set with double-digit kills en route to 30 kills on 27 assists for the match, while also earning eight aces, seven blocks, and 47 digs.
Freshman
Sidni Walgurski keyed the effort along the net with seven kills and four blocks. The middle blocker from Green Bay, Wisconsin, registered a .385 attack percentage for her 12th match with a .300 efficiency or better this season. Sophomore
Olivia Marron matched Walgurski with seven kills of her own, hitting at a .267 clip.
Calla Borchert, a first year middle blocker, had a team-best .444 hitting efficiency with five kills, one fewer than the six tallied by sophomore
Cathleen Flannery. Flannery was one of four players with a pair of service aces each.
Lena La Fleur, a setter from Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, posted 13 assists, giving her 15th double-digit assist performances this season. Freshman libero
Jaidyn Lange was tops on the team with 16 digs.

Madison College (12-15, 6-3) is off for a week before playing its regular season home finale on Tuesday, October 15 against Joliet Junior College (12-14, 5-4). The N4C match will see the WolfPack try to continue another impressive streak against a single opponent as they enter with a 17-match win streak and a 22-2 record in the all-time series. First serve is at 6:00 p.m. inside
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium.
The evening will also be Sophomore Night, with the team recognizing and celebrating a six-member Sophomore Class of 2019 prior to the start of the match.
