MADISON, WISC. - Not many things went right Friday night as the Madison College men's soccer team suffered its second loss of the season by a 4-0 final to Triton College at
Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Pitch - East. The WolfPack have dropped three straight matches against their North Central Community College Conference rivals and are 6-19-1 all-time.
In a rematch of last year's NJCAA Region IV Championship that was decided in penalty kicks, Madison and Triton played a close and competitive first half. Agustin Gallo's goal against first year goalkeeper
Saxon LaFlash in the 19' gave the Trojans a 1-0 edge at the break.
In the second half, Triton's Christopher Modzejewski scored back-to-back goals in the 58' and 60', the latter of which came on a penalty kick. The visitors added a final goal in the final seconds of the match off a free kick.
The WolfPack attempted seven total shots and put just two on goal, compared to 11 shots and five on goal for the visitors. LaFlash was credited with one save in his 90 minutes. Freshman forward
Sulayman Njie led the 'Pack with three shots and one on goal, marking his first official attempts towards the net this season.

Madison College (2-2, 1-1) is back on the pitch Monday, September 10 with a road trip to in-state foe Milwaukee Area Technical College (2-1, 1-1). The Stormers are coming off a 2-1 win at Harper College last week, while the WolfPack have won 12 in a row of their I-94 rivals. The all-time series stands at 42-15-2 in favor of Madison. Kickoff is at 4:00 p.m. at the MATC-Milwaukee Oak Creek Campus.
