MILWAUKEE, WISC. - Over the course of three sets Thursday, the Madison College volleyball team limited Milwaukee Area Technical College to a grand total of 21 points as they picked up a North Central Community College Conference sweep. The #2 WolfPack dominated the match, 25-8, 25-5, and 25-8 to extend their match win streak against their in-state rival to 31 and their consecutive sets won versus the Stormers to 53. The easy and quick win was also perfectly times as the 'Pack will travel to Rochester, Minnesota on Friday for a pair of matches against nationally ranked opponents.
The WolfPack set the tone early with a first set that featured 13 kills and a .550 attack percentage, then capped the match with a dozen kills and a .500 hit percentage in the third. The end result was Madison College's second best hitting percentage for a match of the season at .434. In addition, the 'Pack capitalized on the Stormers struggling serve receive to register 13 aces, also the second highest total of the year.
A season-best nine different Madison College players tallied at least one kill in the match, with freshman outside hitter/opposite
Kenadi Mayo leading the way at seven kills. It is the second time in 2017 the Minocqua, Wisconsin, native has been atop the kills list for the WolfPack. She also carried team-high honors with a .750 attack percentage with just one hitting error on eight attempts. Sophomore
Reagan Goupil, a transfer from Division II Mott Community College in Michigan, had five kills and a .714 percentage. Fellow second years
Samantha Jacobsen and
Lori Sanders each had four kills.Â
Setters Keely Brown and
Olivia Darkow tallied 15 and ten assists, respectively, while freshman libero/defensive specialist
Kendra Nicolay keyed the defensive effort with eight digs to help the WolfPack improve to 78-22-3 all-time against Milwaukee Area Technical Collage (0-4, 1-4).

NJCAA Division III Top Ten showdown. Madison College is 2-0 all-time against the Pioneers (4-1), though the programs have not played since 2007. On Saturday, the WolfPack opens play against NJCAA DIII Central Lakes College-Brainerd (MN/9-2) at 3:00 p.m., before concluding play at 5:00 p.m. with a match opposite NCAA DIIIÂ Bethel University (MN) JV.Â
