RIVER GROVE, ILL. - Minus their second leading scorer and coming off an emotional home win in a top-five showdown, the #1-ranked Madison College women's basketball team lost for the second time this season Wednesday with a 73-63 setback at Triton College. Freshman forward
Rachel Slaney, who is averaging 15.1 points and a team-best 8.4 rebounds a game, was unable to play as the WolfPack fell to 7-2 in the North Central Community College Conference and a half-game back of #5 Rock Valley College (8-2) in the standings.

Triton closed the game at the free throw line, hitting 7-of-8 attempts in the final two minutes as part of an overall 19-for-27 effort. The 'Pack went 7-of-7.
Madison College has
three games remaining on their regular season schedule and will play the final road game Saturday, February 13 against in-state rival Milwaukee Area Technical College (13-11, 5-4). The WolfPack downed the Stormers
80-69 on January 21 in Madison, a game that saw Nelson leave early with the knee injury. A win by Madison College would provide the first regular-season series sweep by either team since the 2012-13 campaign. The two rivals have split the last six meetings, though the WolfPack own a lopsided 70-9 advantage in the overall series. Tip off along the shores of Lake Michigan is set for noon.
