WolfPack hush Triton with a 4-2 win at home

Box Score The WolfPack moved to 3-1-1 in North Central Community College Conference play on Wednesday night with a 4-2 home win over Triton College. In a very physical game that saw four yellow cards, Madison College prevailed by scoring two goals in both the first and second halves to down the visiting Trojans. Four different WolfPack players scored including Christian Munoz, Chris Dadds, Alfredo Ramirez-Pinho and Diego Lavariega.

In the first half, Triton College got on the board first with a goal 11 minutes in. Madison College then answered with a goal in the 23rd minute as Christian Munoz scored on a Antonio Paredes assist.The WolfPack added another goal eleven minutes later on a goal by Chris Dadds from Alfredo Ramirez-Pinho to take a 2-1 halftime lead.

In the second half, the WolfPack added to their 2-1 lead in the 62nd minute as Alfredo Ramirez-Pinho scored on a Christian Munoz assist. Triton scored again three minutes later to close within a goal at 3-2. With 28 seconds left Diego Lavariega scored on a James Pretoo pass to put the game out of reach.

WolfPack goalie John Arendt had 10 saves in 90 minutes of work as Madison College improved to 4-2-2 overall and 3-1-1 in conference play. Madison College currently sits in second to Harper College in the conference standings. Madison College plays Malcolm X College this Sunday at home at noon.
