Madison College men traveled to Rochester, MN on Tuesday night to face the #2 ranked NJCAA Division III Rochester Community & Technical College Yellowjackets. The 'Pack knew it would be a tall task to upset the Yellowjackets but they hung with them and fell 74-63.
The WolfPack trailed 40-30 at half after the Yellowjackets went on a 12 point run late in the half. The Yellowjackets never relenquished the lead in the second half, going on to win, 74-63. The 'Pack shot just over 32 percent from the field, committed less turnovers (21-18) than the host Yellowjackets and were outrebounded 46-36 for the game.
Madison College was paced by
Malik Henderson's 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the field and 6-for-6 shooting from the line. Henderson was the only WolfPack player in double figures for the game.
Kristian Zimmerman and
Marquise Pollard each added nine points while
Markus Tobias pulled down a team-high six rebounds.
The WolfPack are now 2-6 and are off until Wednesday, December 2 when they face Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI at 8:00 p.m.
