The Madison College women's soccer team needed an overtime goal to net its first win in more than a week, beating Joliet Junior College by a 2-1 final Friday, October 2 in Joliet, IL. The WolfPack snapped a two-match winless streak and pushed their season record over the .500 mark.

It didn't take long for Madison College to assert themselves against the Wolves as former DeForest student-athlete Tynia Goldensoph put one past the goaltender just 5:45 into the match. The goal was her team-leading eighth of the season and came off an assist from Lindsay Kraemer. Regulation ended with the game knotted at one, but in overtime Goldensoph triggered the game-winner with an assist to Kaitlyn Baudhuin at the 97:52 mark to seal the victory. The Madison College defense was stout, holding the Wolves to just five total shots and allowing goalie Lindsay Hamilton to register two saves against the three shots on goal. The WolfPack offense outshot Joliet by a margin of 29-5.

Madison College is back on the home pitch this week as they host Elgin Community College on Wednesday, October 7 in Madison. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
