Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Season ends in shutout for WolfPack men

One game into its postseason run and the 2015 season has come to a close for the Madison College men's soccer team. The second-seeded WolfPack suffered a 3-0 setback against third-seeded Joliet Junior College in the semifinals of the NJCAA Division III Region IV Tournament at Lussier Athletic Park in Madison on Wednesday, October 21.

The visiting Wolves netted all three of their goals in the first half against former East student-athlete Antonio Paredes, who was seeing his first action of the season between the pipes. Madison College was out shot by a 4-2 margin on balls at the goal, and was unable to take advantage of three additional - four total - corner kicks. Both teams were issued a pair of yellowcards in the hard-fought match between N4C foes playing for third time this fall. The WolfPack was 1-0-1 in the prior matches.

The win advances Joliet Junior College to the Region IV title game against top-seeded Harper, who defeated Rock Valley 5-0.

Madison College, which had only been held without a goal twice during the regular season, ends the year with a 7-6-2 overall (5-2-1 conference) record.
