Just two days ago, the Madison College women's volleyball team was named the top ranked team in the first official NJCAA Division III poll. Thursday evening, they proved why, handing ninth-ranked Harper College a 3-0 loss, winning by scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-16.
The win was the fifth straight for the WolfPack. It also improved their overall mark to 11-1 on the year, including a 4-0 start in North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play.
Katlynn Wirag, as she has on a number of occasions this season, led the team offensively with seven kills. Meanwhile,
Hannah Grahn finished with 23 assists.
Defensively,
Sydney Clarson and
Chandler Carlson were the standouts for Madison College. Clarson tallied 12 digs, while Carlson registered three blocks on the night.
Triton College is next on the slate for the WolfPack. The two teams will square off in River Grove, Illinois, Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m.
